Edgar R. Mosquera Sr., founder of Protection Resources International was born in Quito, Ecuador. As a young adult he encountered many dangerous situations and experienced many tragedies. Due to his experience he has dedicated his life to the protection of others and to teaching others how to protect themselves. His experience in the Armed Forces as well as his expertise in Martial Arts and Weapons Instruction and a background in Law Enforcement have helped him to achieve these goals.
Edgar Mosquera Sr., served in the U.S. Air Force for 12 years. He is a veteran of Desert Storm and Desert Shield. A large portion of his military career was spent as a bodyguard for Liaison Officers. This was his initial experience with Executive Protection. At this time he learned how important it was to know and understand other cultures and how that contributed to your ability to properly protect a client. Edgar Mosquera Sr., is also a former police officer. His extensive background, qualifications and expertise prompted him to open Protection Resources International, LLC in 2005 continuing his focus and commitment to the protection of others.
Edgar began training in Martial Arts at the age of nine. He first began in Tae Kwon Do but that soon evolved into a variety of other Martial Arts. Edgar holds black belts in Tae Kwon Do, Kenpo and Kickboxing. He is also trained in Aikido, Hapkido, Jujitsu and is a rated practitioner in Tai Chi. He is also an expert Weapons Instructor. Edgar opened his first Martial Arts School in 1993. He is a certified Krav Maga Instructor and M.M.A. Practitioner. He is the owner of Kapap Combative Concepts in Highwood, Illinois which serves as a training facility for PRI employees.

Corporate Attorney At Law
Edgar Mosquera, Jr. is the exclusive corporate attorney for Protection Resources International, LLC . Since 2002, Edgar has been practicing law on both the state and federal level. He is currently in the process of developing an Executive Protection Law Group within PRI. PRI believes it is important to understand and be current on all the laws that relate to the Executive Protection field. This provides PRI with the ability to anticipate and address risks to the client and to the company. Edgar R. Mosquera, Jr. is a former police officer and holds an Illinois private security license. He has held seminars and made presentations at various conferences on the legal considerations and liabilities in the executive protection industry including The Executive Protection Institute Conference and the Protective Security Council Conference.
